NEW Galena Adventure Center

Looking to discover more outdoor adventures in the Tri-State region than the obvious?  Start your search at the new Galena Adventure Center.  The Galena Adventure center’s mission is to be ‘the outdoor information center’ for area visitors and residents. Throughout the year, the center is open for workshops and clinics, as well as to serve as an information resource on what to do and where to go for outdoor recreation within driving distance of Galena and Dubuque. Maps, brochures and good ole firsthand consultation will be offered. During the winter months the GAC is open for events only, however, on days that the center isn’t open, the same outdoor recreation information will be available at Fever River Outfitters, located just next door to GAC, at 525 S Main Street, Galena.

Winter Events

Indoor Cycling: Everyday, December - March.. Get your body in motion. Join us for 45 minute sesssions, led by Spin Certified instructors with Irish Hollow Fitness. Classes are held a the Galena Adventure Center, right next door to Fever River Outfitters. $7 per session.  Snowshoe and Xcountry ski DemoDay/ Sale: Saturday, December 12 11:00am – 5:00pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to try out snowshoes and cross country skis.  All weekend long, various styles of Alpina Cross Country Skis, Redfeather Snowshoes and Easton Snowshoes will be on sale at 10% off. Snowshoe making clinic: Saturday, December 19 10:00am – 3:00pm. Choose from a variety of traditional snowshoe styles, place your snowshoe kit order by December 8^th, then join us at the Galena Adventure Center for a day of snowshoe making.
